STEM Week

Just before half term our school blasted off into STEM Week, and what an amazing adventure it was! Each year group from EYFS to Year 4 focused on a different planet, discovering fascinating facts and completing all sorts of exciting activities.

Every class also had a special rocket enquiry question to investigate. Pupils explored ideas such as how the shape of a rocket’s fins, the materials used, or even its length might affect how far it can travel. Everyone became real scientists—planning, predicting, testing, and recording their findings just like rocket engineers at NASA!

Alongside their investigations, the children created beautiful planet-themed art, wrote imaginative pieces of writing, and of course, built and launched their very own rockets. There was plenty of excitement (and a few surprised gasps!) as the rockets whooshed through the playground sky.

It was fantastic to see so much curiosity, creativity, and teamwork throughout the week. Our young learners showed just how much fun science and discovery can be.

Well done to everyone for making STEM Week such a stellar success—we can’t wait for next year’s launch!
